Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

What services does A2Z Mowing and Plowing offer?

Which towns do you serve?

We work out of Nelsonville and cover the surrounding area, including Athens, Logan, The Plains, Glouster, Albany, Trimble, Jacksonville, Chauncey, New Straitsville, Amesville, Rockbridge, Shawnee and Buchtel. If you are near one of those and not sure whether you are in range, call us and ask.

Do you work with businesses as well as homes?

Yes, and a good share of our work is commercial. On the grounds side that is Commercial Lawn Maintenance for businesses, rental and multi unit property, churches and offices. In winter it is Commercial Snow Plowing for lots and drive aisles, plus Sidewalk Snow Clearing and Salting and De-Icing for the areas people walk.

How do I get a quote?

Send us a message through the form on this site or call (740) 818-9770. For most properties we want to come look at it before quoting, because square footage alone does not tell us much about slope, access or what is actually there. Head to our contact page and we will get back to you.

What is a seasonal snow contract?

It is an arrangement made before winter that puts your property on our route for the season instead of handling each storm as a separate call. We agree ahead of time on what gets cleared, what gets treated and where snow goes. The full explanation is on our Seasonal Snow Contracts page.

How often will you mow my lawn?

Most of our mowing customers sit on a regular route through the growing season, and we set the rhythm with you when you come on. Grass in southeast Ohio moves quickly in late spring and slows down in the heat of summer, so the right interval is not the same in June as it is in August. See the Lawn Mowing page for how a visit runs.

What should I have ready before you come out?

For mowing, gates unlocked, pets inside and anything loose picked up off the grass. For winter work, vehicles off the driveway or the lot, and markers along the edges of the drive before the first snow so we can see where the pavement stops. Point out anything in the ground we should steer clear of once and we will remember it.

Are you taking on new customers?

Yes. We take on new properties through the season and through the winter, though the snow route fills up as the weather gets closer, so earlier is better if you want plowing arranged. Reach out through the contact page or call (740) 818-9770.
